  • New Zealand's Universal Periodic Review: 4th cycle, 2023 - 2024

    New Zealand was reviewed during the 46th UPR session, which ran from 29 April to 10 May 2024. The Review was from 9am to 12.30pm on Monday 29 April (NZST: from 7pm to 10.30pm Monday 29 April) archived here, with the Outcome Report adopted in the meeting starting at 3.30pm, Friday 3 May (NZST: from 1.30am on Saturday 4 May) archived here.

    • NGO reports for NZ's 4th UPR: The submission deadline for NGO reports was 11 October 2023, and the deadline for the government's report was 29 January 2024.

      • OHCHR On-line Submission System to submit your UPR report, the 'how to use the system' guide is available here) Please note: it takes at least 24 hours to have your profile approved after you register, so it is best to register by 9 October at the latest. The submissions system will close precisely at 11.59pm, 11 October (Geneva time, 10.59am, 12 October NZST), so we strongly advise testing the system well before the deadline to check how you need to upload your document/s - you cannot submit your report after the deadline.

        New Zealand�s third Universal Periodic Review (UPR) by the UN Human Rights Council took place during the 32nd UPR session, from 21 January to 1 February 2019 in Geneva.
